Helsingborg's Vocational High School started in the autumn of 2017 and is a municipal high school within Helsingborg City. We provide vocational training at the high school level. Students spend 50 percent of their study time at their workplace. Join us in developing vocational education together!

Job Responsibilities

You will, together with your subject colleagues, be responsible for teaching physical education and English. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for planning, implementation, and assessment based on governing documents and the school's commitments. In teaching, you make a difference for our students by believing in their abilities, encouraging creativity and curiosity, and making it clear to each student that they can succeed in both big and small ways. You will also act as a mentor for the students and participate in joint planning at the school and various events. You will be part of a team and an environment characterized by forward-thinking and collective work to build a new educational activity that serves as an exciting link between school and working life. Together with wonderful colleagues, you will help develop our school!

Qualifications

You have a high school teacher education and hold a teaching license in physical education and health as well as English. For you, modern technology is a natural choice in your role as an educator, and you use digital tools for knowledge-seeking, communication, creation, and learning. You use pedagogical documentation as a method to increase awareness of your own work in the school. You have a very good ability to work with people, especially young people aged 16-20, but also adults. You are clear in your leadership, and your communication is characterized by openness and dialogue. You have a good ability to create positive relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You share yourself and your experiences and knowledge. You dare to challenge both yourself and the students to try new things, fail, and try again. We place great value on personal suitability as the work with us is done in close collaboration with all other teachers and staff at the school.
